Zach had his mission call sent to his dorm room at Utah State. We were all waiting for the call to come and celebrate. Zach, in true Zach form, called everyone to let them know his call had arrived. Those of us in Salt Lake dropped what we were doing and sped up to Logan. We all gathered in the common room at Zach's dorm, making guesses and jokes as to where in the world Zach was going.
An anxious Zach gathered friends and family, thanked them for coming and ripped open his envelope.
In a loud, nervous voice he announced, "Kyiv, Ukraine!!!"
Yahoo! We all cheered and congratulated him with hugs and high-fives.
We are all excited for Zach! He is going to be a great missionary!
